About me
Hello, my name is José Becker. Currently I am living in Enschede, The Netherlands where Manuel (my husband) and I started the year 2018 Taaltrend, a language training and translation company. I am a Dutch native, but I lived in Venezuela, S.A. for forty-two years.
I strongly believe that learning other languages gives you the ability to step inside the mind and context of that other culture. A person competent in other languages can bridge the gap between cultures, contribute to international diplomacy, promote national security and world peace, and successfully engage in international trade.
Dutch is my native language, but I feel completely comfortable with English and Spanish as a second language. I was the academic coordinator for twenty-five (25) years at the binational center, Cevam, in Mérida, Venezuela. There I designed and implemented the curriculum for all English courses from beginners to advance for children, adolescents, adults and I implemented a variety of English courses for special purpose. Further, I supervised special Spanish language programs for Diplomats and staff of the Dutch embassy in Venezuela and for students from the United States and Europe.
Living in a multi-cultural environment made translating English, Spanish and Dutch texts a necessity and a daily activity.

About me
My name is Manuel Jauregui. I am a civil engineer with an MSc degree in The Netherlands. I am retired as a Full Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad de Los Andes in Mérida, Venezuela, where I worked for 42 years. I also served as Associated Editor of the journal “Ciencia e Ingenieria” of the Engineering Faculty. I have over forty years of experience writing technical articles in English and Spanish.
I have followed courses and workshops in:
